About The Position

Job Title : ICU Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Intensive Care Unit

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 PM - 7 AM

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 2 years previous experience as an ICU RN in an inpatient hospital setting

License : Current licensure by the state board of nursing

Certifications : BLS and ACLS certification from AHA

Must-Have :

Minimum of 2 years previous experience as an ICU RN in an inpatient hospital setting

Current licensure by the state board of nursing

BLS and ACLS certification from AHA

Previous experience working in a level two trauma ICU

Description :

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.

Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.

Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.

Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities are necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit or department.

Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
