Job Description
The Center for Global Health Program Coordinator II supports the transition integration and engagement of international faculty scholars students and visitors to the university and the U.S. and prepares students and trainees for global health education abroad experiences. The position serves as a central resource for advising guidance and connecting individuals to campus and community services. This role also develops and delivers pre-departure programsincluding workshop resource materials online modules and handbooksto ensure safe ethical and culturally informed global health fieldwork. Reports to the Executive Director Center for Global Health.
Advising & Transition Support - 30%
Advise and support the successful transition of international faculty scholars students and visitors to the university and to U.S. culture. Serve as a central point of contact providing guidance and connecting individuals to resources related to cultural adjustment transportation housing health and well-being academic support ESL services and community engagement.
Conduct needs assessments to identify develop and deliver customized programs including in-person workshops online resources and written guides.
Lead collaborative efforts with campus entities to offer an integrated experience that helps international faculty students and scholars navigate the university and US culture (e.g. workshops webinars)
Engagement & Outreach 25%
Design implement and maintain a year-round portfolio of community-building and cross-cultural engagement programs including networking events cultural celebrations professional development opportunities and other initiatives that foster belonging and global understanding.
Plan and coordinate event logistics collaborate with team members and colleagues.
Serve as a liaison and collaborate with units and organizations such as the International Student Association and Office of Postdoctoral Affairs
Global Education Abroad 25%
Develop and implement a formalized pre-departure orientation program to prepare students trainees and faculty leaders for global health field experiences.
Design and deliver workshops in online (synchronous and asynchronous) and in-person formats on key topics such as health and safety cross-cultural awareness ethics and professional expectations. Create and maintain online training modules.
Create comprehensive handbooks guidebooks checklists and resource materials to support student and trainee travelers.
Create resources to support colleges and programs with education abroad planning timelines considerations.
Program Evaluation Data Collection & Reporting - 15%
Collect track and maintain program data (e.g. demographics participation engagement) and produce regular reports to support strategic planning and continuous improvement. Assist the Director with assessment activities using qualitative and quantitative methods including outcome measurement and benchmarking against peer institutions. Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services identify trends and opportunities for improvement and refine programming to meet evolving needs.

Additional Job Description
Minimum Requirements : A bachelors degree and two years relevant program experience.
Qualifications and Competencies :
Excellent program planning organizational critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to manage priorities
Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication and process improvement skills
Demonstrated adaptability to organizational change initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team managing priorities.
Proficiency with technology project-based software and data management.
Proven ability to successfully build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across a complex institution and ability to develop strong connections within a team as a whole based on trust respect and collaboration
Strong intercultural communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing and delivering workshops presentations or orientations.
Familiarity of U.S. visa and immigration regulations and procedures for international students and scholars
Experience living working or studying abroad.
Demonstrated ability to support international student / scholar adjustment
Certification in English as a Second Language
