Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the budgeting and forecasting processes, develop proficiency in systems.
• Responsible for system inputs and leveraging systems to provide data-driven insights.
• Collaborate closely with the commercial and scheduling team in developing and reviewing customer pricing, from the setting of freight rates to voyage performance and profitability analysis to support commercial strategy.
• Support the operations team in the development, review, and presentation of operational budgets, variance analysis, forecasts, and spend management and optimization initiatives.
• Perform variance analysis and report on key metrics through regular reporting cycles; address follow-up questions and provide explanations.
• Maintain profitability analysis modeling (ROIC, EVA, etc.).
• Support development of presentations to management and other stakeholders, including managerial and pro-forma reporting.
• Assist with the strategic planning process and scenario development.
• Work with and support Corporate resources on regional information requests.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and prepare recommendations to support decision making.
• Support investment / business case development, financial modeling, valuation, and sensitivity analysis.
