Payroll Associate

Our valued client in Oak Ridge, TN, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Associate to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role provides an exciting opportunity for professional growth and the potential to transition into a hybrid or remote work environment. The Payroll Associate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for up to 800 employees in a multi-state environment. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work independently without daily supervision, and a self-starter mindset. The role will also include tasks related to union employees, garnishments, account reconciliation, and payroll system maintenance. Experience with UKG Ready payroll software is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

• Process bi-weekly payroll for up to 800 employees, including both hourly and salaried workers, across multiple states.
• Handle garnishments, union employee payroll requirements, and resolve payroll-related discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll deposits and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and deadlines.
• Post payroll transactions and reconcile payroll accounts to the general ledger.
• Maintain organized payroll documentation and update records accurately.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Possess the flexibility to adapt to a hybrid or remote work arrangement as required.
