Shop Foreman (Plain City)

Miller Bros. Construction, Inc. is a family-owned heavy civil construction company with over seven decades of industry expertise and innovation. We specialize in heavy highway bridge and roadway construction, design-build engineering, and heavy civil infrastructure projects.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to join our Central Ohio operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing equipment maintenance and repair operations while managing shop personnel and ensuring efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee and perform maintenance and repair of heavy civil construction equipment in both shop and field environments.
• Balance responsibilities between hands-on mechanical work and management duties (approximately 25 / 75 split).
• Communicate effectively with company management, field personnel, and equipment department leadership.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with field supervision to support operational needs.
• Work closely with the Shop Manager and Equipment Manager to track budgets, control costs, and oversee maintenance personnel.
• Conduct annual performance reviews for mechanics and support their professional development.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to mechanics, enhancing their diagnostic and technical skills.
• Ensure adherence to safety and maintenance protocols while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Create and manage in-shop work schedules while maintaining accurate records in HCSS Equipment 360 .
• Manage in-shop and field repair operations, including parts ordering and vendor coordination.
• Travel to job sites as needed for equipment servicing and emergency repairs.
• Be available for daytime, night, and weekend shifts as required.
