Our busy legal firm is looking for an efficient, organized legal assistant to help our attorneys and paralegals assist clients and ensure we’re operating efficiently. You’ll assist with the preparation of legal documents and handle all office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines. Compensation : $20 - $23 hourly
Responsibilities :
- Help with creating a variety of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when necessary
- Process client billing properly using daily time records with help from the accounting department
- Perform legal research, as needed, with help from attorneys and paralegals
- Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines
- Make travel arrangements, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to expand the team. Our Legal Assistant will play an integral role in creating memorable experiences for clients in person and over the telephone while providing excellent support to the team. This position requires empathy, experience, and skill.

This position will handle important administrative duties related to direct attorney support, customer service, client retention, and office management support.
Qualifications :
At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasksAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround timesExperience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programsOrganizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this positionComfortable working with all Microsoft Office productsWe need a competent and professional assistant who :
