Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of acute care experience and current ARRT (R) and BLS certifications.
Responsibilities
Work settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, and the emergency departmentCare for a diverse patient population including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatricsVariable shifts : 1830-0700, 0800-1630, 0630-1500, 0730-1600, 0700-1530, with every third weekend 0900-2100Day shift is 5x8 hours, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PMSpecialized procedures performed include aspirations, biopsies, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and vascular CTASpine and musculoskeletal studies include cervical, lumbar, musculoskeletal trauma, and thoracic imagingProcedures include abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, and neck CTs with or without contrastEquipment used includes PACS, C-arm, and portable imaging devicesFloating to other units and / or facilities is expectedResponsible for conducting advanced CT studies, including contrast studies and special proceduresMust be able to care for neonatal through geriatric patientsEpic charting system experience is preferred but not requiredEvery third weekend coverage is expectedNo block scheduling; schedule changes may occur with two weeks notice to balance staffingFingerprints may be required for assignment in specific Ohio departmentsAnnual and orientation modules will be required; some module time is unpaidTravel pairs are accepted; related travelers may not work on the same unitFormer permanent staff must have been gone at least 1 year before being consideredLocal candidates within a 50-mile radius are not acceptedFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionRequirements
Minimum of 1 year acute care CT Technologist experience requiredActive ARRT (R) and BLS certifications requiredValid state license required if applicableExperience in preparation and administration of contrast mediaSkills in starting peripheral IVs are requiredEpic EMR experience preferredAbility to perform multiplanar reconstruction and advanced post-processingMust be able to operate OR, portable, and C-arm equipmentBenefits
