We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Board-Certified Behavior Analyst / Level 2 Behavior Therapist (DHS approved) to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing support and services in Applied Behavior Analysis within a residential and medical clinic setting.
About the Role : The BCBA / Behavior Therapist works closely with Search staff to provide a range of behavioral analytic assessment and clinical services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on improving independence, reducing maladaptive behaviors, and enhancing quality of life through individualized assessments, skill acquisition, behavior intervention, and functional communication training.
This position is 8 : 30a-4 : 30p and requires flexible work hours for observation and assessment when clinically necessary.
This position reports to the Division Manager of Behavioral Health.
Location : Mount Prospect, IL
Salary : $68,000-$78,000 Per Year
Responsibilities :
- Administers, conducts, and evaluates the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment measures,
- Develops individualized behavioral goals and objectives for participants and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data,
- Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented and is collected at regular intervals to allow for continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of behavioral goals and objectives,
- Collects and analyzes data gathered from observations from both formal and informal assessments,
- Trains staff on the proper implementation of behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all monitoring and reporting systems,
- Ensures timely entry of all behavioral events, assessments and plans in the Harmony system,
- Provides monthly reports on behavioral goals,
- Facilitates referral process for participants to receive behavioral and therapy services,
- Provides on-call crisis supports for participants served during office hours and hours outside of Behaviorist-On-Duty coverage,
- Attend annual meetings and special meetings as needed,
- Participates and contributes to assigned committees and task forces,
- Ensure required documentation of services in accordance with Medicaid Waiver requirements,
- Documents billable hours according to DHS regulation,
- Maintain enrollment as a Medicaid Provider and abide by Medicaid regulations,
- Rotate on-call duties to provide support with crisis development and management,
- Complete incident reports and assessments according to policy,
- Present yourself in a professional manner as a representative of Search to all stakeholders, including participants served, family members, guardians, medical professionals, community members, and representatives from affiliated agencies,
- Demonstrate leadership abilities by working cooperatively with Search colleagues, encouraging teamwork, respecting differing viewpoints, and demonstrating the ability to solve problems creatively from an agency-wide perspective,
- Manage assigned workload effectively by meeting established deadlines,
- Advocate for participant rights and services,
- Obtain and maintain Safety Care Instructor certification,
- Facilitate agency mandated trainings as instructed,
- Initial and ongoing completion of Direct Support Professional training,
- Complete Risk Assessments in collaboration with participant support team members, requires DHS on-the-job training completion,
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements :
Master’s degree in related field,Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA), OR a Level II Behavior Therapist as approved by DHS,At least one-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities,Excellent computer skills,Excellent written and verbal communication skills,Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, personal transportation,Flexible work hours when clinically required.Benefits We Offer :
