Role Overview
This is a mid-level leadership role within the corporate accounting team. The Accounting Manager will report to the VP Controller and play a key role in supporting the month-end close , mentoring junior staff, and ensuring accurate execution of financial operations across AP, AR, and GL. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to grow into a broader leadership role within a PE-backed, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Support AP, AR, GL, and job costing across multiple field locations
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and close schedules
- Assist with revenue recognition and billing accuracy for service contracts
Compliance & Controls
Maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP complianceSupport external audits and coordinate with tax advisorsTeam Collaboration
Mentor junior accountants and coordinate with field finance teamsPartner with operations, HR, and procurement to align financial workflowsSystems & Reporting
Use ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) to manage accounting tasksAssist in building reports and dashboards for financial visibilityRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA certification or CPA candidate strongly preferredMinimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experienceMinimum 2-3 years of supervisory or management experienceExperience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting toolsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWhy This Role
