Responsibilities Position based in a hospital Emergency Department with a focus on both ED and mental health patient populations Involves assessment, care coordination, and discharge planning for patients in the ED, including those needing mental health support Variable 10-hour shifts from 7 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 30 p.m., covering Sunday through Saturday with weekend rotation and call requirements Care for a diverse patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric Uses Electronic Medical Records for documentation and care coordination Responsible for evaluating ED patients for medical necessity, care coordination, and appropriate discharge or admission planning Collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, advanced practice clinicians, social work, and administrative staff Coordinates care for patients with complex needs such as abuse, chronic pain, or frequent ED utilization Works with individuals experiencing mental health challenges to facilitate access to needed resources Engages in resource management and assists in developing clinical practice guidelines Shared contractor housing may be available but is not guaranteed; no pets or family allowed in housing COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted with proper documentation Orientation is provided every two weeks Must complete and submit a housing application at least two weeks prior to start if seeking hospital-provided housing Requirements Active RN license from any US state, Puerto Rico, or US territory (AZ or compact acceptable) Minimum of 2 years of recent care / case management experience in the Emergency Department At least 2 years of patient care experience in hospital, home health, or skilled nursing settings Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Case Manager Certification (CCM or ACM) required within 2 years of hire if not already obtained Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel At least 1 year of previous travel experience Fingerprinting clearance required prior to start Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-638667.
