Responsibilities

As an Excess & Surplus Underwriter, you'll join a small yet dynamic and rapidly growing team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to play a foundational role in building a best-in-class E&S underwriting practice. As an early member of our E&S team, you will be responsible for driving new business production, managing broker relationships, and underwriting complex risks with a focus on large accounts. Your expertise and sound judgment will be critical in selecting profitable risks, collaborating with risk management to enhance exposures, and leveraging advanced technology to monitor and manage your portfolio. What you can expect :

We'll count on you to :

Collaborate with colleagues across the organization :

Interface with Enterprise Risk Management, Actuarial and other business functions to actively manage CAT property exposure

Partner with Brokers :

Qualifications

What you need to have :

Must hold appropriate agent / broker licensing (specifically, P&C and SL Broker licenses in your home state and non-resident licenses in other states in which we do business)

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees including :

Base Salary Range : $80,000 - $120,000

Elgible to participate in annual discretionary bonus.

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
