Responsibilities Work on a hospital surgical unit caring for the complex post-operative population Night shifts from 7 : 00PM to 7 : 30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week Responsibilities include post-op, new tracheostomies, wound vac, and ostomy care Collaboration with general surgical and OMFS residency teams Patient documentation performed in Epic EMR, Epic experience required Main responsibilities include comprehensive post-operative care, wound management, and education of patients and families on new ostomies Role requires flexibility and teamwork with a variety of residency services Holiday coverage may be required as per unit needs No travel partners are accepted for this assignment Time off requests cannot exceed seven days during the 13-week contract Returning travelers may not continuously work for more than one year and must take a 6-month break before returning Requirements Active Illinois RN license or temporary IL RN license in good standing Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum one year of relevant Med / Surg nursing experience Recent Level 1 Trauma experience required Epic EMR experience required ASN required, BSN preferred Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614896.
