The Position
We are seeking a Staff Accountant who is eager to grow into a Senior Accountant role. This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who is ready to take ownership of critical processes and expand their responsibilities as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Expenses : Manage the Concur accounts payable system, including vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and compliance with company policies.
- Accounts Receivable : Process customer payments, invoice customers, assist in international shipments, process returns and credits, collections, set-up new customers, and daily sales reporting.
- Goods Received Notes (GRNs) : Oversee processing, reconciliation, and accuracy of GRNs to ensure proper matching with purchase orders and vendor invoices.
- Bank Reconciliations : Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain accurate cash records.
- General Ledger (GL) Reconciliations : Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Month-End Close : Support accounting month-end activities including journal entries, accruals, and preparation of supporting schedules and financial statements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting : Assist in managing company budgets and forecasts in Workday Adaptive Planning , ensuring alignment with financial goals and operational priorities.
- Year-End Audit : Assist with year-end audit requests and preparation of documentation for external auditors.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and streamline workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ years of accounting experience ( manufacturing experience a plus ).Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.Experience with Concur or other AP / expense management systems preferred.Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar budgeting / forecasting tools a plus.Proficiency with ERP systems ( Microsoft Business Central, NetSuite, or similar ).Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.Experience with SQL a plus (for data queries, analysis and integration).Growth Path
