Plant Manager

The Plant Manager maintains continuous oversight of all job aspects, aligning with engineering drawings, optimizing POC scheduling, managing costs, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role strategically assigns and monitors production personnel (material handling, crane operators, burning, fitting, welding, and coating) to champion safety, maximize productivity, and consistently meet job schedules and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Leadership – Inspire and empower employees to collaborate effectively, driving the achievement of exceptional results.
• Labor management – Strategically hire, rigorously train, and effectively direct personnel, fostering individual performance that consistently yields expected results.
• Plant readiness – Proactively maintain facilities, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and operational efficiency within allocated capital.
• Process synchronization – Orchestrate all plant activities and their sequencing to create seamless production flows, maximizing machine and labor utilization while minimizing waste.
• Capital improvement – Identify, rigorously analyze, and strategically propose investments that deliver rapid returns through reduced costs and / or significant productivity gains.
• Job tracking – Implement daily monitoring and comprehensive monthly reporting of POC and actuals versus scheduled costs across all jobs.
• Operational agility – Execute daily adjustments in machine and labor allocation plans to swiftly respond to unforeseen circumstances and maintain efficiency.
• Regulatory compliance – Ensure strict adherence to all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations.
• Trouble shooting – Act as the primary point of contact for unexpected occurrences, providing decisive leadership intervention to resolve issues.
• Reputation – Cultivate an admired professional presence and serve as a compelling brand ambassador with employees, customers, suppliers, and all external stakeholders.
• Safety – Champion a safe work environment and rigorously enforce all safety regulations.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Advanced proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365.

Preferred Skills

A strong, established reputation within our industry, with preference for candidates recognized by customers in our markets.

Pay range and compensation package based on 10 years or more experience in CNC machine shop environment
