Part-Time Activities Aide. Please read description.

We are seeking a Part-Time Activites Aide : 3 days a week. Some weekends. Flexible.

Ideal candidate will have prior experience with the elderly population performing recreational activities in a nursing home environment.

Job Description :

This is a  Full-Time Position / Weekends.

• Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and evaluating the activity programs of the facility.
• Assist in arranging transportation to other facilities when necessary.
• Involve the resident / family in planning activities and objectives for the resident when possible.
• Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary.
• Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agencies as necessary.
• Ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the resident's response to the service.
• Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed by the Activity Director.
