The Senior Technical Service Specialist will serve as a key client interface for aftermarket services supporting Elessent STRATCO® alkylation technology customers located across the U.S. Gulf Coast. The role will also provide cross-technology support for BELCO® wet scrubbing and IsoTherming® hydroprocessing customers as needed.
This position provides technical process expertise and customer service for both regional and global customers. The individual will work closely with regional Business Development Managers and global Technical Services team members to deliver aftermarket support, identify and develop service opportunities, and ensure reliable operation and customer satisfaction across Elessent's refining technology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with assigned Gulf Coast refining accounts to ensure that all process needs related to STRATCO® alkylation, BELCO®, and IsoTherming® aftermarket services are met.
- Address customer requests for technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization of process and operating conditions.
- Interface with refinery process and operations personnel to identify operational needs and propose technical solutions that improve unit performance, safety, and reliability.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to document and communicate all commercial leads, prepare technical proposals, develop new offerings, and support business development initiatives.
- Provide technical management and on-site support for aftermarket services and equipment, including unit startups, process inspections, troubleshooting, and operator training.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, data analyses, and unit performance evaluations in support of customer needs.
- Support and occasionally lead international or domestic (outside of Gulf Coast) customer assignments for technical service, unit optimization, or training.
- Partner closely with regional Business Development Managers to identify and close service and equipment opportunities.
- Contribute to internal innovation and process improvement initiatives within Elessent's global Technical Services organization.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all customer interactions, site visits, and follow-up actions in Elessent's standard call log format.
- Participate in biweekly team calls and proactively share updates, best practices, and customer learnings.
- Support the Management Team in achieving annual goals and objectives.
Qualifications : Education :
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (preferred) with at least 10 years of experience in refining or petrochemical industries, OR15+ years of operating experience in refining or petrochemical industries with a working knowledge of process operations.Experience :
Sulfuric acid alkylation experience required.Experience with wet gas scrubbing or hydroprocessing technologies is a plus.Location :
This role is a remote position based in the U.S. Gulf Coast, ideally near major refining hubs such as Houston, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, or Beaumont.The position may require occasional support for domestic and international assignments.Travel :
