POSITION
The Pastry Cook will maintain a superior production of breads, sweets, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, and fresh fruit jams, chocolates, etc. for the restaurant, special events, and amenities.

Key Responsibilities
Consult with the pastry chef and other chefs to plan menusExecute all pastry orders and accommodate special requestsDemonstrate skill in baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, pies, etc.Create enticing confectionery decorations and delicious pastry fillings, as well as keeping up with new pastry baking techniquesApply classic pastry baking techniques when preparing traditional pastriesAdd novel, creative, and delicious pastry items to the existing selectionMaintain pastry production sheet and follow through with assigned prep itemsPerform daily dry storage, walk-in refrigerator, and freezers inspected each of your shifts to ensure it is clean, and all pastry related items are put away properlyBe aware of food cost by effectively scaling ingredients, minimizing waste, and preventing theftMonitor equipment and ensuring all specialized pastry baking tools are in working orderSetting up workstations with all necessary suppliesEnsure clear communication in the kitchenEnsure all orders are completed in time and with the correct priorityAlways maintain the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene standardsPerform other task or projects as assigned by ManagementQualifications :
Must have culinary degreeMust have at least 2 years’ experience in a pastry positionThorough knowledge in pastry arts and techniquesExperience in chocolate makingPositive, engaging, and energetic personalityAble to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervisionVery high attention to detail and extensive service knowledgeSensitive to cultural nuancesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal on EnglishAble to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environmentAbility to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policiesAbility to stand for extended periods of timeMulti-lingual is a plusDepartment of Health and Hygiene certifiedServSafe certified
