Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Pocatello, Idaho (Zip : 83201) – Idaho nursing jobs Unit : Med / Surg Floor 4A Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 16 / 2026) Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1460-$1500 Patient Population : Adults & Geriatrics Daily Census : 44 patients Weekend Coverage : Required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible) Orientation : 24 hours onsite 100-mile radius rule : Must live at least 100 miles from the facility Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program Active Idaho RN license Current BLS certification (required) ACLS certification (required within 12 months of hire) Experience with Epic charting system preferred Competency in patient ratios of 5-7 Ability to float to other clinical units as needed Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies and protocols Respond promptly and appropriately to life-threatening situations Document patient care thoroughly and accurately Prioritize, delegate, and evaluate care delivery for assigned patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services Manage and care for patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, trauma, respiratory failure, post-op care, AKI, and more Perform specialized clinical skills including central line management, chest tubes, wound care, tracheostomy care, and more Maintain professional development and clinical competencies Adapt to a fast-paced, evolving hospital environment Discover the best of Idaho nursing jobs in Pocatello – a city celebrated for its welcoming atmosphere, outdoor recreation, and vibrant healthcare community.
