At this well-established manufacturer, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the direct oversight of daily production operations, ensuring that safety, quality, and production targets are met. This role involves leading a team of production associates, maintaining efficient workflows, and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives under the guidance of the Production Manager. Daily, you will be responsible for the following tasks :
Oversee daily production, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are metLead and train a team of production associates, providing guidance and fostering a positive work environmentMonitor and report on production output, productivity, and quality metricsIdentify and resolve minor production issues and contribute to continuous improvement effortsEnsure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Communicate effectively with the team, other departments, and the Production ManagerPerform other duties as assigned by the Production ManagerQualified candidates will be able to communicate at all levels, coach and support the hourly workforce, resolve conflict, and seek production improvements. Individuals will spend up to 80-90% of their time in the production area. REQUIREMENTS for the Production Supervisor :
High school diplomaAt least two years of similar production supervision experienceExperience overseeing others in manufacturingNon-union supervision experienceStrong continuous improvement background, including decreasing downtime, increasing efficiencies, etc.ERP experienceMicrosoft Office, including strong Excel skillsSkills preferred but NOT required :
Lean and / or Six Sigma experiencePower BIERP experienceExperience in blending / mixing manufacturing environment, ideally in chemical, pharmaceutical, coating, food, beverage, etc.Reasons to work for this organization :
