Job Title : Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Location : Agoura Hills, CA

Setting : Adolescent Residential Treatment Center

Pay : $33 - $40 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule : 12-Hour Shifts | 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM and 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our multidisciplinary team at an adolescent residential treatment center in Agoura Hills. The LVN will play a key role in providing quality medical and mental health care to adolescents struggling with mental health and co-occurring disorders in a structured, supportive, and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of an RN or physician

Conduct health assessments and monitor vital signs and withdrawal symptoms

Administer prescribed medications and document medication administration in accordance with policies and regulations

Monitor residents for side effects and efficacy of medications

Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or emergency care when needed

Collaborate with the clinical and residential teams to ensure continuity of care

Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and charting

Support the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans

Participate in shift change reports and interdisciplinary team meetings

Educate residents on medication adherence, health concerns, and wellness practices

Uphold HIPAA and other regulatory standards related to patient care and confidentiality

Qualifications :

Current and valid LVN license in the state of California

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred; experience in adolescent mental health or residential treatment settings is highly desirable

Current BLS / CPR certification

Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including overnights and weekends as needed

Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills

Compassionate and calm demeanor, especially when working with at-risk youth
