Exciting Opportunity : High School Spanish Teacher

As a High School Spanish Teacher at Uncommon Schools, you will play a pivotal role in shaping global citizens. You will become an expert in your course content and inspire high school students to communicate confidently in Spanish. Your classroom will be a safe haven where students can express themselves in a new language, preparing them for academic autonomy and college-level work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Instruction

• Enhance students' bilingual skills and understanding of Spanish through a curriculum designed for Advanced Placement (AP) and collegiate level coursework.
• Boost students' confidence in navigating authentic print and audio sources.
• Teach essential foreign language skills : reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Cultivate cultural awareness as students learn a new language.
• Share your passion for Spanish to build a community of confident speakers.
• Encourage students to engage in meaningful conversations in Spanish.
• Collaborate with the Spanish department to set academic and engagement goals.

Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $64,700 . Starting pay is determined by various factors, including relevant full-time teaching experience, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Candidates without full-time teaching experience will likely start at $50,000.
