The (CGPSGO) provides executive leadership, strategic planning, proposals for high impact grants, oversight of grant development and submission, as well as execution and impact analysis for Moses Weitzman Health System grants and other non-patient revenue generation activities.

The CGPSGO oversees a diverse portfolio including grants and additional funding from government, corporate, public foundations and other sources.

Success requires a commitment to high functioning partnerships with all areas of the organization including community impact, operations, data analytics, marketing, and regulatory engagement at the federal, state and local level.

The person selected must exhibit a professional presence and encourage collaboration at all levels of the organization and must demonstrate a commitment to being data-driven in developing and executing strategies, with clear metrics and measurements identified.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the chief strategist and lead architect of an ambitious program that seeks to continually increase the value of grants or related revenue contributions to support the mission and long-term objectives of MWHS.

  • Build relationships and partnerships with local, state and federal government agencies, public foundations and other funding sources to advance the mission and strategic goals of MWHS.
  • Leverage those partnerships to generate substantial co-investment funds from government agencies, donor partners and businesses to achieve the broad mission of MWHS.
  • Collaborate with the VP, MWHS Development to ensure coordinated efforts.
  • Strategically advise and partner with the VP of Marketing and Communications to develop and execute external campaigns that tell MWHS’ story, connect with current and future funders, and position MWHS as a partner of choice.
  • In conjunction with Grantsteam management, ensure that processes and practices associated with grant preparation and execution are effective, efficient and compliant.

In addition, ensure that grant writing and overall submission quality are at a high level to maximize the opportunity for approvals.

  • Work closely with Weitzman Institute leadership to achieve their goals for research and education.
  • In collaboration with the CEO and other MWHS leaders to develop, execute, and evaluate program impacts a keen eye towards equity, learning, and data-driven results.
  • Partner with MWHS board committees and colleagues throughout the organization to ensure operational excellence internally and strategic impact externally.

Requirements :

  • Bachelors’ degree required with relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years senior / executive level experience in revenue development through grants and other funding sources.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying and securing new high value grants as well as a high renewal rate on previously awarded grants.
  • Strong commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion as critical elements of the achievement of the MWHS mission.

PHYSICAL EFFORT / ENVIRONMENT

Works primarily in a moderately active environment. Remote option. Hybrid schedule if leaving in or near Connecticut.

WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS

As a member of Senior Management, the position requires a commitment beyond a

standard eight hour work day. Early morning and / or evening hours may be required. Occasional weekend hours may also be necessary.

24 / 7 availability by phone for emergencies is expected.
