- Shifts : Days8 hours MondayFriday Rotating w / weekends3640hrs
- WorkLocation : Onsite; Palo Alto CA but may need to travel to RedwoodCityCA
DutiesandResponsibilities
- Obtainsquality images for medical diagnosis by performing magneticresonance imaging (MRI) procedures as directed by a physician byusing appropriate technical factors and scanning techniques
- Lookingfor tech with minimum 5 years of MRI experience with Knowledge ofGE 29.0software.
- Preparespatients for MRI exam : explains procedure ensures that patientscreening form is properly completed safely transfers patient toMRI equipment properly positions patient and assists patient oncompletion of exam;
completes exams in the requiredtimeframe.
- Acquiresand Processes Images in accordance with the department standards.Evaluates MRI scans for technical quality collate processed imagesand sequence of exposure and labelappropriately.
- Performsand remains current on all scanningprotocols.
- Troubleshootsequipment problems and when necessary report to the properpersonnel forrepair.
- Utilizesancillary equipment appropriately : PACS system laser camera MedRadpower injector Radiology Information Systems (RIS / EPIC) and Invivomonitor.
- Assistsin the training of Radiology students house staff or others in MRIprocedures protocols and equipment and / or safetyissues
- Billsall procedures performed and maintain necessarypaperwork

Satisfactorycompletion of a JCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education ofRadiologic Technologist) approved Radiologic technologyprogram
LicensesandCertifications
CRTCertifiedTechnologist by the state of California Department OF HealthService in Radiology or ARRT The American Registry RadiologyTechnologist or ARMRIT American Registry of Magnetic ResonanceImaging Technologists
