Description : Position Title : Paralegal with Project Management Experience
Location : New York City (On-site; telecommuting may be permitted at the discretion of the supervisor)
Duration : 2+ years
Schedule : Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Position Overview :
A New York State government agency is seeking a highly organized Paralegal with strong project management experience to support its Climate Division. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting legal research, document preparation, and the coordination of ongoing projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities :
Assist the Climate Division by researching legal precedent, investigating facts, and preparing documents.
Conduct legal and factual research to support ongoing projects and day-to-day operations.
Manage project timelines, schedules, and calendars to ensure efficient communication and workflow among team members and stakeholders.
Coordinate meetings, track project progress, and facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners.
Maintain and organize project documentation and status reports.
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) for research, reporting, and project tracking.
Minimum Qualifications :
Candidates must have :
A Paralegal Certificate.
At least two (2) years of project management experience.
Eligibility to work in New York State.
Preferred Skills :
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
Experience working in a government or legal setting.
