Job Summary
The Computed Tomography Technologist will oversee services specific to CT and Radiology. Responsibilities include performing CT scans, ensuring efficient patient flow, and collaborating with medical teams to deliver exceptional patient care. You will utilize CT equipment competently, apply radiation safety principles, and maintain compliance with high standards of medical ethics.
Responsibilities
Conduct prescribed Computed Tomographic procedures.Maintain proficiency in CT scan equipment and processes.Document findings accurately and communicate relevant information to physicians.Apply safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.Participate in call rotations and assist with other departmental duties as needed.Engage in training programs and in-service education.Qualifications
Education :
Graduate from an accredited radiology program.Associate's Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.Experience :
1-2 years of experience in Computed Tomography preferred.Licenses & Certifications :
Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist in Texas.Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.Post-primary CT certification within 6 months of assignment.Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.St. David's North Austin Medical Center is a multi-specialty hospital with over 360 beds, featuring a variety of services including emergency care, heart and vascular care, and more.
