Operations Manager - Albany / Capital District - Paul Davis Restoration

The Operations Manager is overall responsible for the location including leading and managing the project managers, estimators, and technicians. The purpose of the OM's role is to work with the team to achieve the company's strategic business objectives and ensure the company culture is clear and followed by all.
Paul Davis provides services to cleanup and repair damage to residential and commercial properties due to water, fire, mold, storm or other disasters. We are aggressively growing and are the premier restoration services provider in the Albany NY area with an office in Ballston Spa with 20+ employees. We are entering our 36th year in business.
This is not a remote role. The Operations Manager will need to be in the Albany / Saratoga area on a daily basis and working out of our location in Ballston Spa (Malta).
Responsibilities :
- Manage and monitor daily job status and project activities through the use of multiple software programs.
- Lead and manage our water mitigation project management team.
- Lead and manage environmental team who perform asbestos abatement and mold remediation
- Lead and manage the reconstruction project managers
- Participate in production and other team meetings as needed.
- Work with the Project Managers to ensure the customer experience is seamless and each team member is being held accountable for their role.
- Ensure project managers are uploading proper documents and photos into projects.
- Make weekly visits to job sites to check quality and ensure customer satisfaction and high NPS scores.
- Ensure that scheduling systems are in place and are being used effectively to achieve cycle time and gross margin goals.
- Establish and maintain a communication protocol with Project Managers to ensure customer and internal / stakeholder communication is frequent and accurate.
- Address any service-related issues quickly and bring to resolution. Escalate issues that cannot be immediately resolved.
- Utilize vendors and trade resources to continually educate the team and sharpen their skills.
- Manage P&L for the Division and participate in leadership team meetings.
Qualifications :
10 + years of experience in a service or construction-related business with a leadership role is required5 + years of management experience with direct-reports supervisory experienceSound knowledge of construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types and systems is a plus but not requiredSolid technical background with understanding or hands on experience with software programs including : Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Suite with the ability to learn and use new softwareExcellent time management and attention to detailsBenefits :
