Position Summary:

The Janitor is responsible for the cleanliness of the facility, ensuring a hygienic and safe environment for all employees and visitors. This position involves performing various cleaning tasks, handling waste disposal, and maintaining the overall appearance of the building.

Responsibilities:

1. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas regularly.

2. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, ensuring all surfaces are dirt-free.

3. Empty trash cans and recycling bins, disposing of waste appropriately.

4. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

5. Restock cleaning supplies and bathroom amenities as needed.

6. Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor promptly.

7. Follow safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

8. Maintain outdoor areas, including sidewalks and entrances, to ensure cleanliness.

9. Perform additional cleaning tasks as required by the supervisor.

10. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Working Relationships:

Entire SSC while working around the facility.

Requirements

Minimum Education: High School diploma or its Equivalent

Preferred Education: Trade School

Minimum Experience: 1-2 Years of Janitor Experience

Preferred Experience: 3-4 Years of Janitor Experience

Licenses/Certifications: N/A

Soft Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills

Other Requirements:

Travel: N/A

Hours & Conditions: Monday – Friday 8 hour day in office setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Grasping/Griping/fine manipulation
• Pushing/pulling/bending/kneeling/twisting/climbing on a regular basis
• Carrying/sitting/walking/standing and lifting above shoulder level on a regular basis
