Bridge Inspection Team Leader - Structural Engineer

WSP is initiating a search for a Bridge Inspection Team Leader - Structural Engineer to join the Structures Bridge Design Team in our New England offices (Boston, MA; Worcester, MA; Providence, RI; Merrimack, NH; Glastonbury, CT). This role is suitable for someone new to people leadership and interested in becoming a Team Leader.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Bridge / Highway Design Team on project development and design tasks.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Assist in the preparation of Bridge Load Ratings.
• Work as a Team Member on Bridge Inspections.
• Assist with development of plans / sketches using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, architects, planners, and scientists to execute project work on multiple concurrent projects.
• Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.
• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills, including project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates; assist in maintaining project documentation.
• Remain current in latest structural engineering techniques and practices.
• Adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies; exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Benefits and compensation : WSP provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, retirement savings, paid leave, and other allowances. Compensation range : $90,600 - $150,590. WSP USA reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
