Super Bright LEDs is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive category growth and innovation of our LED lighting portfolio. This role is responsible for defining product strategies, identifying new products / segments, and category management & e-commerce merchandising. The ideal candidate combines market knowledge, analytical skills, and supplier management expertise to deliver product assortment, price, and content that meet customer needs while driving profitable growth.
Note : This position requires working in our Earth City, Missouri office with an option for a condensed and flexible schedule (4-10 hour days or 4-9s and 1-4 hour day).
Key Responsibilities :
Market Competition & Strategy
- Conduct competitive research to stay ahead of market trends and identify category growth opportunities.
- Recommend new products, merchandising approaches, and marketing strategies to drive growth.
- Ensure competitive pricing strategies while maintaining strong margins and managing category cannibalization.
Supplier & Product Development
Partner with sourcing to identify and evaluate potential new suppliers and products.Oversee supplier inspections, and certifications to ensure product quality and compliance.Negotiate costs and minimum order quantities to optimize profitability.Define initial order quantities using sales data and analytics.E-Commerce Merchandising
Create product briefs and collaborate with the Web Content team to produce accurate, compelling product listings.Ensure key features are clearly highlighted and customer experience is optimized through product titles, filters, frequently bought together options, accessories, images, and videos.Work with marketing to align product positioning, promotions, and campaigns.Category Performance & Lifecycle Management
Own category performance by tracking and analyzing sales, margins, and inventory.Identify growth drivers across pricing, promotions, and features to maximize performance.Evaluate new product launch performance and make recommendations for adjustments.Manage underperforming SKUs and returns issues by identifying root causes and sunsetting products when needed.Relationships & Collaboration
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support competitive pricing, reliable sourcing, and product innovation.Collaborate cross-functionally with sourcing, marketing, operations, and web teams to ensure product success.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field5+ years of experience in e-commerce category management / merchandising, product management, and digital marketing, specifically SEM and SEOLED / lighting industry experience or experience in a technical product field is a plusStrong analytical and quantitative skills to make data-driven decisionsStrong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesWeb design or NetSuite experience is a plus, but not requiredBenefits :
