The incumbent performs a variety of support and assistance to the other skilled crafts. Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identifies and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution. Responsibilities include performing litter and debris clean up around all facilities visited for daily tasking, loading and unloading trucks and other conveyances, properly disposing of refuse items, washing, waxing, vacuuming, and polishing vehicles, assisting with moving heavy pieces of machinery and equipment, assisting in the delivery of tools and equipment to worksites, assisting skilled workers moving hazardous items, assisting with routine small equipment maintenance, working in confined spaces or at heights up to a maximum of 185 feet utilizing a man lift / boom lift or ladder, completing daily work order log documenting inspections, maintenance, and repair information, interfacing with customers and responsible for customer feedback, operating motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies, complying with applicable federal, state, United States Air Force (USAF) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations, complying with health and safety rules and procedures, performing work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), performing other related duties as assigned, working harmoniously with customers and fellow co-workers, maintaining strict confidentiality of all ARRO related matters, being accountable for assigned tools, materials and equipment, and ensuring cleanliness and safety of shop and work areas.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum one (1) year experience in general maintenance and repair, current state driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance, ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses / IDs / certifications, ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations, proficiency and knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools, demonstrated working ability to read, write, speak and understand English, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment within the shops and company vehicles. Desired qualifications include three (3+) years' experience in general maintenance and repair, basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, previous mechanical experience or verifiable aptitude, experience in HVAC (i.e. clean coils, replace filters, and clean strainers), military experience, previous experience working on a military installation, and experience working on Tinker facilities. This position may currently and / or in the future be required to obtain and retain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) and / or Personal Clearance (PCL) as required by law or contract.
