Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for new facility and facility improvement projects.
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, including site preparation, structural work, MEP installations, and final inspections.
- Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
- Resolve conflicts and facilitate clear communication between contractors and internal teams.
- Provide proactive onsite supervision throughout the construction phase, ensuring contractor compliance with project plans, safety standards, quality requirements, and schedule milestones.
- Prepare and submit permit applications; coordinate with city planning and development departments to ensure compliance with local codes and ordinances.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, contractors, architects, engineers, and city officials.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and provide progress updates to leadership.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and inspection reports.
- Prepare and present project status reports to upper management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes (IBC, NEC, IMC, IPC, IFC) and OSHA standards.
- Support Industrial Engineering activities such as layout design, analysis, creating SOPs as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Project management, Industrial engineering, AutoCAD, Construction, construction management, warehouse distribution, manufacturing, industrial machinery.Top Skills : Project management, Industrial engineering, AutoCAD.PMP or PE certification a plus.Proven track record of handling permitting processes, working with city planning departments, and coordinating contractors.Strong understanding of industrial engineering principles, lean methodologies, and process optimization.Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project (or similar scheduling tools), and ERP systems.Experience Level : IntermediateWork Details
