Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Title : Travel Registered Nurse – Pediatric Emergency Room (PEDS ER) Location : Syracuse, NY Contract Duration : 16 Weeks Shift : 12-Hour Nights | 36 Hours per Week Responsibilities : Provide immediate and efficient care for pediatric patients presenting with acute, chronic, or critical conditions. Assess, triage, and manage patient care using established emergency protocols. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform necessary interventions under physician direction. Collaborate closely with physicians, healthcare staff, and families to ensure comprehensive care. Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation of patient care and updates. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during high-stress situations. Requirements : Active RN License – New York State or Compact State License. Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS required (AHA certified). Experience : Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ER or Emergency Department experience in an acute care setting. Excellent critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills. Strong ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Must be flexible with schedule and willing to work rotating weekends and holidays. We are an equal opportunity employer.
