Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer designs, develops, installs, and maintains equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems and processes. This role combines technical expertise with problem-solving skills to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and following electrical design schedules from concept to system completion while adhering to overall project timelines.
• Test, evaluate, modify, and calibrate products and instruments.
• Analyze plant processes and design improvements for efficiency.
• Troubleshoot hardware and process issues.
• Perform technical calculations supporting design, including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls.
• Ensure compliance with safety objectives and legal requirements.
• Design, modify, and implement software programming for generator control switchgear HMI applications.
• Configure, program, and test HMI hardware; validate programming with Power System Engineers.
• Provide remote HMI installation and field support.
