The Controls Engineer designs, develops, installs, and maintains equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems and processes. This role combines technical expertise with problem-solving skills to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and following electrical design schedules from concept to system completion while adhering to overall project timelines.
- Test, evaluate, modify, and calibrate products and instruments.
- Analyze plant processes and design improvements for efficiency.
- Troubleshoot hardware and process issues.
- Perform technical calculations supporting design, including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls.
- Ensure compliance with safety objectives and legal requirements.
- Design, modify, and implement software programming for generator control switchgear HMI applications.
- Configure, program, and test HMI hardware; validate programming with Power System Engineers.
- Provide remote HMI installation and field support.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical) preferred.0–2 years of experience required.Technical Skills
