Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 educational institution in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a skilled Teacher for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This contract position is for the current school year and focuses on providing specialized instruction to support the diverse learning needs of students with hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver tailored instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across grades K-12
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards
• Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, and other specialists to support inclusive learning environments
• Utilize assistive technologies and munication strategies to enhance student engagement and prehension
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and professional development sessions
