Enterprise Services Risk Management Specialist

As an Enterprise Services Risk Management Specialist, you will leverage your analytical and risk management skills to lead high-profile projects that impact our operations. You will be part of the first line of defense, helping to manage risk effectively and enhance our third-party risk management processes across Capital One.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop strong working relationships with Enterprise Services Management (ESM) and other stakeholders to assess technology risks affecting critical business processes.

Conduct risk reviews during assessments such as Risk Control and Self Assessments (RCSAs) and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

Advocate for actions needed to address key technology risks by influencing leaders across various functions including Compliance and Cyber Security.

Lead meetings with executives to review risk metrics and provide ongoing risk reporting.

Perform in-depth investigations of risks and initiate focused risk initiatives to strengthen overall controls.

Design and oversee internal risk governance processes.

Continuously enhance risk programs based on industry best practices aligned with Capital One’s strategic direction.

Foster innovation and new ideas within the Enterprise Services Risk organization.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Financial Services and Technology industry.

At least 3 years of experience in project, program, process, and risk management.

A proven track record of leading discussions across diverse teams for at least 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree or military experience.

3+ years of experience in risk management, technology, or a similar discipline.

Expertise in developing and managing controls, including risk reporting and self-assessments.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for engaging with all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking to manage shifting priorities effectively.

A history of leading cross-functional programs and consulting with senior executives.
