Stanley Consultants currently has an opportunity for a Structural Engineer-In-Training 2 for our Denver, CO office.

This position supports professional engineers as they assist our clients by providing both technical expertise and project management on a diverse range of projects.

Structural Engineering within Stanley Consultants, Inc., offers diverse and challenging opportunities that set us apart from our competitors. Our structural engineers work on a wide variety of projects including design and analysis of buildings and large non-building structures; from power generation structures, co-generation facilities, central heating and chilled water plants, campus type utility distribution systems, to industrial and commercial projects.

You will work with structural experts that collaborate across multi-discipline teams that provide innovative solutions to complex challenges. Our design calculations and modeling work is substantially computerized.

What You Will Be Doing :

• Prepare and check structural design calculations, computer models, and drawings.
• Review fabrication shop drawings for structural materials.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers and architects to develop coordinated design solutions that meet project requirements.
• Design structures and foundations based on design codes and standards published by International Building Code, ASCE, ACI and AISC.
• Design steel structures, including framing for buildings, pipe supports, pipe racks, bridge cranes, equipment supports and access platforms. Design reinforced concrete, including concrete superstructures, slabs, walls and foundations for buildings and equipment (pumps, fans, chimneys, cooling towers, tanks, etc.); underground tunnel and vault systems; and retaining walls.
• Limited travel, including visits to project sites for field coordination and to monitor construction progress.

Stanley’s Approach to Flexibility

While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 9 / 80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off!
