Senior Estimator
Seeking a Senior Estimator responsible for plan and specification review, material takeoffs, paving plans, quote solicitation, and project write-ups.
Must have 5+ years of construction estimating or related experience. Preferred qualifications include a background in Construction Estimating, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent technical training.
Responsibilities
- Estimating all aspects of heavy civil for concrete paving contractor.
- Solicit quotes from a myriad of potential suppliers and subcontractors for upcoming work. Must be able to accurately disseminate anticipated scope of work, timelines and expectations.
- Read and interpret project specifications to understand scope of work and constraints placed on successful bidders.
- Search government and local databases for potential work up for bid that fits scope.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Blue Beam, On-Screen Take-off, Heavy Job, and HCSS.
- Experience with Department of Defense contracts.
- Prior construction and estimating experience.
