Finance Accounting Lead
The Finance Accounting Lead serves as an experienced accounting partner to business unit FP&A teams, providing comprehensive financial insights and leading analytical initiatives across multiple business units. This role combines deep business unit expertise with process leadership responsibilities, mentoring junior staff while driving process improvements and stakeholder relationships.
Advanced Business Partnership & Analysis
- Serve as accounting partner for multiple business units, including the most complex or strategic units within the portfolio
- Lead comprehensive variance analysis and financial insights across business units, identifying cross-business unit trends and optimization opportunities
- Perform complex financial investigations and business performance analysis, providing detailed commentary and recommendations
- Facilitate business unit financial reviews and support strategic planning processes
- Drive standardization of analytical approaches and reporting across assigned business units
Process Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Lead cross-business unit process improvement initiatives and analytical projectsDrive standardization of Finance Accounting procedures and best practices across the teamLead automation and efficiency projects, coordinating with technology and offshore teamsEstablish standards and procedures for business unit financial analysis and reportingChampion continuous improvement initiatives and mentor team members on advanced analytical techniquesAdvanced Financial Reporting & Quality Standards
Ensure financial statement integrity for assigned business units, including complex or high-risk areasProvide oversight and guidance to Senior team members on complex analytical and reporting mattersLead consolidation and HQ reporting processes for assigned areasDrive quality assurance processes and provide technical guidance on accounting mattersSupport the development of Finance Accounting team capabilities and knowledge sharingSenior Stakeholder Collaboration
Build and maintain strong relationships with business unit leadership and key stakeholders across multiple unitsLead audit processes for assigned business units, coordinating with auditors and managing technical discussionsSupport special projects and strategic initiatives requiring advanced financial analysisCollaborate with Senior Manager on team development and process improvement initiativesEducation & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required, MBA preferredMinimum 6 years of progressive accounting / finance experience with demonstrated analytical and process leadership capabilitiesMulti-business unit experience required with proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationshipsProfessional services or staffing industry experience strongly preferredTechnical & Leadership Skills
Expert knowledge of US GAAP and complex financial reportingAdvanced ERP and EPM system expertise with process automation experienceProven track record of leading teams and developing talentExperience with process improvement and change managementCore Competencies
