POSITION SUMMARY
The Academic Advisor supports student success and persistence by helping undergraduate students set and achieve academic, career, and personal goals, assisting with course selection and registration and orienting new students regarding key University systems (LMS, SIS, etc.). The academic advisor serves as a referral source to connect students to University services and resources that can assist them in achieving their goals. The academic advisor assists in the ongoing development and maintenance of advising resources and trainings. Through a collaborative relationship with the student and their faculty mentor, the academic advisor supports the student in reaching a four-year graduation target consistent with their professional and academic goals.
