Overview
Lead Technician (Low Voltage) role at NCNS Communications. Lead Low Voltage Technicians to manage and execute high-quality structured cabling installations across commercial, residential, and industrial job sites. In this leadership role, you'll guide small crews, ensure quality standards are met, and maintain timelines and budgets while mentoring the next generation of low voltage professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead onsite crews of 3-5 technicians and apprentices.
- Coordinate daily tasks and uphold NCNS quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with managers, team members, and office staff via phone, email, text, and company apps.
- Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e / CAT6 cable.
- Punch down and test voice and data jacks using industry-standard tools.
- Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, MDF / IDF systems, firestopping, and workstation outlets.
- Ensure all work is completed within scheduled timeframes and budget.
- Read and interpret blueprints and general system layouts.
- Work safely from ladders and lifts; comfort with heights is required.
- Maintain a clean, organized jobsite and promote jobsite safety.
Qualifications
5+ years of commercial or industrial low voltage experience.Proven ability to lead and train small field crews.BICSI Certification is a plus.Lift, OSHA, or Manufacturer Certifications are a plus.Organizational skills and a team-first mentality.Willingness to mentor apprentices and uphold company policies.Reliable with the ability to work required hours.Open to learning and adapting to new technologies or processes.High school diploma or GED required.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work on elevated platforms.Benefits
