Project Management Office Function
Responsible for building and managing the project management office function for IT. Coordinates all the project management and project governance efforts involving development and implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Defines, develops, and publishes enterprise-wide IT project management best practices, governance standards, and related processes and metrics.
- Brings consistency and standards to approach and execution of project initiatives, contract negotiations and technology acquisition.
- Ensures projects are defined, tracked and communicated in a consistent and effective manner with the goal of maximizing project success.
- Incorporates effective change and risk management controls.
- Partners with IT and business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities to identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (return on investment, productivity, compliance).
- Collaborates with project sponsors and IT leadership on business case development.
- Partners with other IT leaders to ensure all projects within IT portfolios are delivered on time, within budget and to an agreed quality level.
- Helps to ensure project initiatives and technology initiatives are completely aligned with organizational strategies.
- Formalizes vendor relationships.
- Documents and evaluates vendor performance.
- Works closely with legal team to maintain standard IT contract templates.
- Partners with IT to define, track, and publish vendor performance metrics.

Bachelor's degree required.At least ten years related IT and business / industry work experience with five or more years supervisory / management experience.Extensive knowledge and expertise in project management, portfolio management methodologies and tools required.
