Product Manager Beef Value Added

The Product Manager plays a pivotal role in driving product strategy and enhancing business operations within the Value-Added Beef team. This position supports strategic decision-making across pricing, product development, and operational planning. By analyzing market trends, meat yields, and customer expectations, the product manager helps optimize value-added beef products for profitability and performance. Working closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams, the product manager ensures alignment with financial goals and product targets. Through cross-functional collaboration, they deliver actionable insights that fuel innovation and product success.

Responsibilities :

• Product Development
• Complete NPRs (New Product Requests); submit NPRs and track through the system.
• Work with product / category management to prioritize appropriately to maximize margin and customer service.
• Routinely conduct SKU rationalization analysis.
• Manage Sample Requests for all Beef Value Added plants.
• Maintain Active Code List on applicable forms (NPRs, Sample Requests, etc.).
• Analysis
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
• Analyze meat yields and breakeven costs to guide pricing and product decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers to define product roadmaps and prioritize features.
• Gather and interpret business data to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and business performance.
• Assist operations and scheduling teams with product availability tracking.
• Document business processes and recommend improvements or automation opportunities.
• Assist in project management, including planning, tracking, and reporting progress.
• Other duties as assigned.
