Control Systems Engineer (Power Conversion)
$90,000 - $110,000 + Medical + Dental + Vision + 401k + Technical Growth
Dallas, TX (onsite)
Are you a Control Systems Engineer with experience in power conversion, looking for a role where you can see the effects of your work first-hand and develop your skills within the niche power conversion industry?
This is an incredible opportunity to work for a smaller organization with a close-knit culture and high staff retention. You'd play a big role in a small team where you can directly see your impact on the company's success.
The company specializes in power conversion, designing and manufacturing high-end power units used within the aviation industry, including military and defense.
In this role, you will design, debug, and support industrial power conversion products; analyze and model power electronic circuits; develop and optimize closed-loop control algorithms and C-based software; and perform hands-on laboratory testing to validate and improve control performance.
The Role:
- Design, develop, and implement control algorithms and software, and perform testing, verification, and troubleshooting on power conversion hardware.
- Develop and enhance validation plans to evaluate control software performance within power conversion equipment.
- Integrate control software with other software functions across the power conversion system.
The Person:
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school. (MS preferred)
- Experience designing control systems
- Experience with DSP and Power Conversion.
- Experience with C programming language
- US citizen or legal permanent resident
