Biomedical Engineer / Chemical Engineer – Oakwood Labs

Oakwood Laboratories is looking to add to their Formulation Research and Development Team. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in advancing their career at a technology-based pharmaceutical company.

You will focus on development of sustained release microsphere projects in various stages of development. You will support projects through pre-formulation laboratory experiments and studies, product formulation testing, and process scale up ranging from laboratory to pilot scale. This role will require you to work as part of small multidisciplinary technical teams on sustained release injectable drug development projects and you will have direct input on solving complex problems and contributing to project success. Responsibilities

• Formulate batches in a laboratory and pilot plant setting, using complex manufacturing processes to design and improve microsphere products
• Develop and optimize new innovative processes and technologies for use in formulation development and manufacturing
• Present analyses and recommendations in product development team meetings
• Collaborate with team members from multiple departments within the company and with external clients to achieve project and company goals
• Work in an FDA-regulated environment and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
