Job descriptionDeveloping technical treatment strategies, selecting treatment processes, developing process design criteria, and delivering projects. Direct coordination and collaboration with clients. Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery. Evaluate progress of the project staff and results obtained and recommend changes to achieve overall project objective Planning, design, permitting, and construction of wastewater-related projects. Experience managing interdisciplinary teams to effectively meet the client's needs Task responsibilities will include project management, preparation of assessment and design reports, performing design calculations, equipment sizing / selection, preparation of construction documents, and support needs for construction Fieldwork and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel. Candidate shall also be able to lead business development activities including preparation of proposals and presentations. The position will lead to an increasing level of client development and management commensurate with experience, supported by our local office and firm-wide technical resources Business development activities including making site visits to pre-position for projects, participating in proposal preparation and project interviews, developing scope, schedule, and budget for approved pursuits, and leading pursuits for wastewater projects. B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering PE license (ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of employment) 15+ years of experience in the field of wastewater-related infrastructure, including project management (planning, design, and construction) Experience in successfully delivering projects spanning multiple years in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams Proficient in all MS Office based computer software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies Self-starter with attention to detail Strong organizational skills Must be capable of presenting complex issues to nontechnical people Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Familiarity with CADD, GIS, Revit, and / or other software Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans) Pre-tax flexible spending plans for medical, dependent care, and transportation Short and long-term , and employer paid life insurance Paid holidays, floating holidays, and paid time off (PTO) Employer-contributed 401(k) plan and additional financial planning support Professional growth opportunities, including tuition reimbursement, in-house training, and incentives for professional registration and professional organization memberships Starting pay range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and geographical location

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Senior Water / Wastewater Project Engineer / Manager for our Tampa or Sarasota offices. As part of our design and process teams, you will be involved with a wide range of wastewater infrastructure projects. This will encompass all phases of design, including
conceptual / feasibility
evaluations, project management, preparation of design reports, permitting, development of construction drawings and specifications, and support of construction services.
