About the Role
As the Public Sector Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing business opportunities with government, education, and municipal clients across South Florida. You'll lead RFP / RFQ responses, ensure compliance with procurement regulations, and represent the company at key industry and networking events.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop and manage relationships with local, county, and state government agencies, school districts, and public institutions.Identify and track upcoming RFP / RFQ opportunities and lead the proposal process.Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure proposals meet compliance and certification requirements.Present solutions to boards, committees, and procurement officers.Represent the company at industry networking events, vendor outreach programs, and public-sector associations.Monitor contract vehicles, cooperative purchasing agreements, and procurement cycles.Generate regular reports and participate in client and internal meetings.Keep current on security technology, industry trends, and competitor activity.What You Bring
Proven success in public sector business development, with strong understanding of government procurement processes and documentation.General knowledge of security solutions and the security technology industry is a plus.Established relationships with decision-makers in education, municipal, or government security.Strong experience selling complex, technology-driven solutions.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Proficiency in CRM systems (Zoho, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.Work Conditions & Other Requirements
