Role Summary

The

SEO Team Lead

will be responsible for owning and executing the organic search strategy across multiple B2C online casino brands. Reporting directly to the Head of SEO, this individual will manage a team of SEO specialists, collaborate cross-functionally with content, product, design, and development teams, and ensure all websites achieve strong organic visibility, traffic growth, and sustainable rankings in highly competitive iGaming markets.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on with deep knowledge of technical SEO, on page SEO, off page SEO and SERP performance optimization across multilingual and multi-regional casino domains.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution : Execute SEO strategies tailored to individual casino brands across target geos

Oversee keyword research, competitor analysis, and content gap identification

Create and drive content strategies for acquisition, retention, and long-tail traffic growth

Own the on-page, off-page, and technical SEO roadmap

Technical SEO : Manage site audits and technical health monitoring (crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, etc.)

Work closely with the Tech Team on site migrations, page speed, mobile-first indexing, structured data, etc.

Oversee technical SEO implementation across CMSs and custom platforms

Team & Stakeholder Management : Lead and mentor a team of SEO executives / specialists

Collaborate with content, design, dev, CRM, and paid media teams for integrated campaigns

Provide regular performance reporting to senior leadership with clear insights and actions

Performance Monitoring : Monitor rankings, traffic, crawl stats, and SERP features using tools like GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, and SEMrush

Track and analyze KPIs : organic sessions, conversions, rankings, link growth, and content performance

Ensure ongoing SEO compliance with regulatory and jurisdictional requirements

SEO for iGaming : Implement SEO best practices with consideration for responsible gaming and regulatory requirements

Monitor for algorithm updates, penalties, and prepare defensive / offensive strategies accordingly

Skills & Experience

Must-Have Skills

Proven experience in SEO leadership roles within iGaming, online casino, sportsbook, or related niches

Deep understanding of technical SEO (JavaScript SEO, schema, CWV, crawl budgets)

Strong content strategy knowledge (keyword clustering, topical authority, SERP intent optimization)

Hands-on experience with tools : Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Looker / Data Studio

Leadership & Communication

25 years of experience managing SEO teams and / or cross-functional projects

Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks across brands and markets

Excellent communication skills to work with devs, SEOs, native writers, and other executives.

Industry & Market Knowledge

Deep familiarity with SEO in regulated markets (UKGC, MGA, Curacao, etc.)

Experience managing multilingual and geo-targeted sites (hreflang, geo-IP, ccTLDs / subfolders)

Understanding of affiliate SEO, bonus strategy content, and SERP monetization methods

Bonus Skills

Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR), headless CMS environments, or CDNs

Knowledge of AI tools for content and SEO productivity

Data literacy ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights
