We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Administrator to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our salaried employees. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll expert with experience in PayChex and a strong understanding of payroll systems and benefit administration.
Responsibilities :
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 150 salaried employees using PayChex software.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
- Manage employee benefits administration, including 401k plans and other relevant programs.
- Collaborate with the HR team to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports using tools such as Crystal Reports.
- Maintain and update payroll records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Audit payroll data regularly to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize various accounting software systems to support payroll functions.
- Implement best practices to optimize payroll operations and enhance efficiency.
- Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably with PayChex software.
- Familiarity with accounting software systems and tools such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian.
- Strong understanding of benefit administration, including 401k and RRSP plans.
- Proficiency in generating and analyzing reports using Crystal Reports.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and address employee concerns.
