About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : Valid RN license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP required

Must-Have : AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required within 2 years

Description :

TMC orientation is held twice a month.

Upcoming orientation dates are 11 / 17 / 2025, 12 / 1 / 2025, and 12 / 15 / 2025.

Float is required based on census.

Coverage every other weekend is required.

EPIC charting system experience is preferred.

Patient ratio is 1 : 2.

No local candidates will be considered.

Previous charge experience is preferred.

Travel experience is required.

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

Patient diagnoses include labor, antepartum complications, and postpartum complications.

Special procedures in the unit include cesarean sections and D&C.

Special equipment includes external fetal monitoring.

Duties may involve the administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, antepartum care, and breastfeeding support.

Responsibilities include assisting with high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections.

Management of epidural anesthesia and recovery from cesarean sections are also required.

Education for patients about discharge, circumcision care, and car seat safety will be part of the role.

Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns is essential.

Candidates should be competent in starting and maintaining IVs, conducting sterile vaginal exams, and using infusion pumps.

Familiarity with magnesium sulfate therapy and the care of infants is necessary.

Participation in triaging obstetrical patients is expected.
