Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. The Department of Internal Medicine is hiring a full-time Senior Financial Analyst. With guidance from supervisors, this individual will monitor, analyze, and report on financial data. This is an on-site position located at the College of Medicine, Medical Science Building, 231 Albert Sabin Way, Cincinnati, Ohio 45267. Following training, onboarding, and completion of all required paperwork, there may be an option to work remotely for a limited number of days per week with management's approval. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies. This position is not eligible for H-1B (or J-1) sponsorship.

Essential Functions

• Monitor and interpret financial data in the development of cost analysis and reports.
• Prepare financial / statistical analysis reports.
• Perform budget analysis and assist in the development of budgetary forecasts.
• Prepare and assist in budget-related statistical analysis, estimates and financial reports.
• Calculate monthly compensation for providers in assigned divisions.
• Attend regular meetings with business administrators to discuss the financial performance of the division.
• Assist in the development and input of financial transactions into university systems.
• Conduct financial feasibility studies on new programs by using financial modeling systems and statistical programs.
• Understand and administer university financial policies and be able to apply those policies to financial transactions, and / or provide guidance to those who seek to apply those policies.
• Collaborate with Deans Office on monthly compensation models to test and review efficiency and communicate solutions with financial analyst team.
• Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Required Education

Bachelors Degree must be in Accounting, Business, Finance, Database Administration, or related field.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of experience in accounting.
